Homeschool Bowling League in West San Jose Area Meets Fridays, 10:30AM to ~12PM at the Cambrian Bowl, in the Cambrian Park Plaza, located at the corner of Camden and Union Avenues. All ages welcome, including parents; year-round rather than tournament-style. Cost is $6.00 for three games, including shoes. Math Olympiad stimulates enthusiasm and a love for mathematics, teaches strategies for problem solving, and fosters mathematical creativity and ingenuity. Cost is $20/student. Meets every other Tuesday evening, 7:15 -8:45 pm, and alternate between practice sessions and Olympiads, contests where the students work on solving challenging and fun problems. The classes will be at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 2211 Shamrock Dr., Campbell, CA. Mr. Shapiro is also available to teach or tutor other subjects, including math at any level, history, any science, Latin, English, and PSAT/SAT/ACT test prep. A minimum of five students are needed to run a class, with a maximum of ten students in a class. Watercolor Painting: Schedule is Tuesdays, Sept. 19-November 7 (eight weeks), 3:15-4:15; Cost is $60 ($30 due the first day of each four week session). Drawing: Schedule is Wednesdays, September 20-November 8, 3:15-4:15; Cost is $60 ($30 due the first day of each four week session). This class will take a winter (Thanksgiving - Christmas) and spring (Easter) break, and finish May 21st. The class will be located at Shauna's home. The cost will be $10 a week per student. Enrolles should be in 7th, 8th, or 9th grade and be at least 12 years old. The size of the class will be limited to 10 students.
