    <name>Math Olympiad for Middle School Students</name>
    <desc>Math Olympiad will be offered this academic year for students in grades 7 and 8. Math Olympiad stimulates enthusiasm and a love for mathematics, teaches strategies for problem solving, and fosters mathematical creativity and ingenuity. Cost is $20/student. Wayne Niblack, Coach; Chris Cardiff, Backup and Emeritus Coach. Meets every other Tuesday evening, 7:15 -8:45 pm, and alternate between practice sessions and Olympiads, contests where the students work on solving challenging and fun problems.      <name>Writing and Chemistry Classes</name>
     <desc>Andy Shapiro, will be teaching Writing and Chemistry classes on Thursday afternoons: the Writing class ($10 per child, per class) from 2:00 to 3:00 PM and the Chemistry class from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, $20 a class, plus a minimal lab fee. 14 classes of each are planned for the first semester, ending on December 22nd. The classes will be at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 2211 Shamrock Dr., Campbell, CA. Mr. Shapiro is also available to teach or tutor other subjects, including math at any level, history, any science, Latin, English, and PSAT/SAT/ACT test prep.</desc>

   <name>Fall Art Class Schedule</name>
   <desc>Stephanie Dunkle is offering two art classes:  1) Drawing, lessons on perspective, shading, black and white, color... and 2) Watercolor painting.  A minimum of five students are needed to run a class, with a maximum of ten students in a class. Watercolor Painting: Schedule is Tuesdays, Sept. 19-November 7 (eight weeks), 3:15-4:15; Cost is $60 ($30 due the first day of each four week session). Drawing: Schedule is Wednesdays, September 20-November 8, 3:15-4:15; Cost is $60 ($30 due the first day of each four week session). For ages eight to adult (age exceptions made for younger children if mature enough to follow directions and have good small motor skills). Location will be 745 Azule Ave., San Jose.    <name>Pre-Algebra Class Starting in September</name>
   <desc>Shauna Duquette, who recently graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in Liberal Studies Preparation for Teaching, will be teaching a class for Pre-Algebra students starting on Sept. 11th. This class will take a winter (Thanksgiving - Christmas) and spring (Easter) break, and finish May 21st. The class will be located at Shauna's home. The cost will be $10 a week per student.
